JMS CHOIR AUDITIONS FOR 2025 - 2026
If you are a 6th grader or 7th grader who is NOT in choir right now, and are interested in joining choir, please fill out the form 2024-25 Electives Interest Form first, then sign up for auditions held after school between 4.21 - 4.25. Concert Choir is an advanced, audition - only choir made up of primarily 8th graders, with some 7th graders. Students are expected to be able to sight-sing music and have music theory knowledge, which provides the foundation for singing in parts, developing as a team and learning how to sing a capella. Music sung in this choir is more complex and advanced, and prepares them for competition, festivals and for Gabrielino High School’s choirs. In addition to the various performances and festivals, perform for community service projects, collaborate with other schools on music projects and sing at the 8th grade promotion.
Upcoming SPRING CONCERT is April 15, 2025!
JMS Choir concert will be on April 15, 2025, at 6:30PM, in the JMS Gym! Come support the choirs and hear them sing!
