To Jefferson Families:
I have been blessed for the past five years to be able to serve the San Gabriel community as the Principal of Jefferson Middle School. The students and staff here are second to none and the Bulldog spirit runs deep in this place. Effective January 1, 2019, I will take a new assignment in the District as Director of Fiscal Services, which allows me to stay connected with the San Gabriel community and continue to serve our students, only in a different capacity. I will continue to strive and do my best for all students in San Gabriel. I am leaving Jefferson in a good place, with a great staff, and a strong interim principal.
I would like to introduce you to Mr. Christopher Guyer. Mr. Guyer has been serving as Assistant Principal at Gabrielino High School for the past three years. I am confident that that Mr. Guyer and the staff will move Jefferson forward. His extensive middle school experience includes three years as a dean of students and 12 years as a history, technology, and electives teacher. I am proud of Jefferson and see great things in the future.
I will miss seeing the students on a daily basis, but I understand the importance of my new roll ensuring the best use of the district’s resources for our students. My final charge for all my bulldogs is the message I left with the 8th grade class of 2018. Work hard, have fun, and be nice. No matter what happens in life, if we do these things, we will always be awesome bulldogs. Thank you, Jefferson Family, for what you have done for me and the school in the past five years. Please continue to support the school, the community, and most of all, our Jefferson students!
