Due:
Please attach your personal project assignment here. You get to CHOOSE what you want to do, and it doesn't matter what you do, as long as it has something to do with music, and something to do with singing. You can even partner with someone to do it, though with distancing, that can be tricky! You have to be creative - It doesn't have to be in English either - you can sing a folk song, you can choose a pop song to cover, you can do it on Tiktok (although I won't know how to access it from TikTok, I have NO TikTok account! So make sure you can share it via Google Drive) or even use Soundtrap or Smart Music! I just need you to make this your OWN, be creative! But do remember to be appropriate as well!
Due:
Please fill out the form attached here. Because I need everyone's response, I am making this an assignment. Depending on your answers in the form, I will also contact you by email.
Due:
I have to make this an assignment now, because too many people did not do this. If you have technical issues, you should be contacting me to help you. IF/WHEN YOU HAVE COMPLETED IT, PLEASE SUBMIT THIS ASSIGNMENT. You will receive your scores through Smart Music.
Tips when doing the assignment -
1. Start by going to the music itself to practice - Find it in the Search bar on the right.
2. After trying it out and practicing and recording yourself, and making sure your system works, return to the homepage.
3. At the homepage, click on the "Start" button to do the assessment itself.

Explore Soundtrap. After you have navigated it, tried it out, and tested various aspects of it, write down in a paragraph HOW Soundtrap could be useful to you, and what are some IDEAS you may have using it with a GROUP of people. What kinds of creative projects could you have? BE SPECIFIC - "I can use it with my classmates" does not explain anything. "I can use soundtrap to record myself on the piano, while my friend can record his voice, and I will put it together" is much more specific! Use keywords that you may have found in Soundtrap! This is a CREATIVE assignment - be creative! Check it out in a way that you may find fun!

Distance Learning (DL) Assignment #1: What was the most musical thing you did over the spring break?
This is your first "assignment" so I know you have checked your Google Classroom, and you are checking in! :) I will be giving you "points" so you know if your answer worked, or not. But they are not "grades". Think of it as getting the highest score on your video game! You have 2 whole days to complete it!
Due:
Please create a daily schedule that you will use if you are doing online school. The schedule should include ALL your classes, though the order doesn't have to be the same, and it does have to show what your class periods are. You can certainly add your breaks and lunch in it, but everything needs to be of reasonable time (such as having an hour lunch, and not 3 hours, or ending your day at 11 PM instead of 3 PM) I'm attaching the sample schedule we talked about today. You can create it using Google Slides, or Google Docs, it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to look nice, but it must be clear and include specifics that pertain to YOU (not your friends or classmates) This is due by TOMORROW. This is also now my "test" to see how well you are following directions and checking your Google Classroom as instructed.
Due:
Please answer the following questions:
1. What 5 positive things did you observe?
2. Suggest 5 different ways to improve the choir if you were an adjudicator in a festival or competition.

Due:
What is your soft palette? Why is it important to your singing? HOW do you lift your soft palette? (At least 4 ways must be listed). Please answer in complete sentences, in a Google document.
Due:
What have you learned so far about singing in class and about vocal warm ups? List the things we have learned, in complete sentences please. (Hint: There are at least 5 things)
