Bio

Welcome! I have been teaching in SGUSD since 2001, first as a substitute teacher and then as a credentialed English teacher. I completed my BA degree at U.C. Irvine and my MAED at University of Phoenix.

 

I have a theatre background which totally explains my big personality and loud voice. I love teaching literature and aim to make the writing process as painless as possible.

 

I enjoy creating a comfortable, fun, crazy (the good kind), engaging, creative, and unique environment for my students. I encourage them to question, joke (appropriately), collaborate, laugh, and read, read, READ in my classroom. I want my students to start thinking about their educational future. It's now time for them to take ownership of their education!
