Intermediate Orchestra

Intermediate Orchestra is an elective primarily for 6th graders, but is also available to 7th and 8th graders (by audition) who have played at least one year of an orchestral string instrument.  Students in this class generally have a good understanding of fundamental string playing, how to handle their instruments and some note reading.  The class will focus on solidifying fundamental skills, note reading, and ensemble playing.  The two sections of Intermediate Orchestra will perform together as one ensemble in the JMS Winter and Spring Concerts as well as at a music festival.
